69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot
Deep red hue. Scents of chocolate, cherry, anise, blackberries, and vanilla bean are showcased in this hedonistic Cabernet Sauvignon based blend. Flavors of blackberry, black pepper, and chocolate continue through the palate. What is most exciting about this wine is the taste and texture. The tannins are fine grained, yet expansive in the mouth. Acidity is quite nice and the oak is well integrated into the long, lingering finish. This new release is quite flashy now, but will also benefit from extended aging. Drink now through 2015.
